>> why do you blog?
blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.[ camille pissarro]
i started this blog to share my view of the world through my camera lens. in 2007, i went through a very bad breakup that left me feeling completely worthless, confused, and upset with God. a few weeks later, i received a little point-and-shoot camera as a gift. what started out as just a camera turned into a passion. God ignited a fire in my soul and showed me how that breakup was actually a blessing. with a camera in hand, i started to find the beauty in places where other people just saw junk. God used that pain to chisel out the talent i never knew i had. i want anyone who visits my blog to know that despite how they view themselves or what they did in their past, God sees their beauty.
>> why aren't you married?
for so long, i wanted society's definition of success: a cookie-cutter life with a husband, children, a home, and a dog. in terms of success, i am a loser. i am not married, i did not go to college, and i still live at home with my parents. by all means, the world has deemed me as a failure. but that's not what God says about me. He has my life planned out. for years, i tried to do it my way, which only led to heartache. His ways are higher than mine, so i have placed my life and its course in His hands. i may not be what society labels as successful, but society is dead wrong. to live a life that is glorifying to my Creator, to serve one another in love, to seek Christ in all i do... that is a successful life. [if you're new around here, life has dramatically changed since this was published!]
