to grandma's house we go!

Christmas eve has always been spent at my grandma's house. we get up early and head over to start cooking for the family. one by one, everyone gathers to eat and open presents and play games. this year was no different, but one thing made it a little more meaningful: my g-ma was there. you see, it is a miracle to see the sight of her cooking alongside my mama. two and a half months ago, she had a massive heart attack that most people don't recover from. a month ago, she had quadruple bypass surgery. today she was up cooking and preparing Christmas eve dinner. having her there was all we needed. God is so good.
